Hambo Guest Designer

Some bunny was asked to be Guest Designer at Hambo Hoedown this week.  This bunny was asked, and accepted!

I can't wait to check out their blog today and see what their Design Team did with this Penguin Bunny.

You just don't see many penguins out on the egg hunt, do you?  So this fellow is going to stick out even though he has a bunny costume.  Looks like he found the prize egg!

At first glance, this card looks like a normal card....but the challenge at Hambo Hoedown is to make an easel card.

So, being the conformist I am, I made an easel card.

I really had fun making this since I actually had an idea of what I wanted to do. *grin* (Usually I make it up as I go.)

I used Prismacolor pencils and OMS to color Penguin Bunny.  From another print of the bunny, I cut out a mask so I could sponge in clouds and grass with Distress inks.

Just in case someone is curious about how I did this, I'll tell ya!  'Cuz I'm so nice like that!! *cough, cough* I had to make a mask of the discards from my grass border punch to be able to sponge in the grass.

I just have to show you the interior too.  Is so rare that I do such a nice job (IMHO).

See the bunnies?  An old Stampin' Up stamp, as is the Easter greeting.  The scripture on the front is by Stampendous.  The pattern paper is BasicGrey - Nook & Pantry.

Enough about my card already!  Sheesh!
Go on over to Hambo Hoedown and get this image for yourself.  Create and have fun today!!
You could be their next Guest Designer!
