Puppy card

Today I have a card I think a child would like to receive because it has a cute puppy on it.  I'll be sending the card to the Operation Write Home organization for a service person to send home.
Why I didn't give this puppy some ground to lie on, I really don't know.  I bet I was busy thinking about how to cut it out with the hat out of the die cut and just jumped into putting the card together.  Puppy looks like he's flying through the air, doesn't he?
I also wish I had added some twine below the image (which I got for FREE from Operation Write Home).  The sentiment is also from OWH.  I think the twine would have balanced the composition nicely.  Oh Well!!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

What have I done?

I went and made another Easter card.  Now I have to get two out in time for Easter.  Oh, the pressure...
The image I used is by Bugaboo and I think it is so cute. I'm sorry but I can't find where I have the sentiment on my computer, so I don't know who created it.  That's terrible I know.  I colored the image by my favorite way, water coloring with Ranger Distress inks.

The card will be entered in the following challenges:

Easter is coming soon

I used to buy Easter cards and some how never get them mailed.  That is terrible.  So, I've only made ONE Easter card to make my responsibility smaller.
This image is by Stitchy Bear.  I used Ranger Distress Inks to watercolor the image.  I worked on it until I was too tired to work on it anymore.  My neck was killing me!  Hobbies are supposed to be fun, not debilitating!!

Enough of that, and on with the challenges:

For Spring

My card today features love, and I like to think that Spring brings fresh feelings of love.  Always did the trick for me, heh heh.  'Nuf said there!!
I used a digital image by Sami Stamps. Her images are wonderful.  The sentiment is a stamp by Hero Arts.  This card will go to Operation Write Home for someone to send to his or her loved one.
I should be too embarrassed to show this card since there are so many things wrong with it. Hey, DON'T LOOK!
I'm posting it here because I want to enter into some challenges, especially the Simon Says Stamp one.  I'd like to win that one just once! Here is the list of challenges:

I'm Tickled

I used a Bugaboo image and sentiment on the card I have today and it just tickles me.  Some of you in the retail business may relate to this.
Yes, this is a bright card. Just sort of turned out that way.  One of the challenges I'm entering requires 'spring colors' and I hope my colors comply.  I'm also entering it into a challenge on a spiritual-based challenge blog and I really hope this card doesn't offend them.  Or anybody for that matter!
Here are the challenges I'm entering:

Hope your day has been brightened!

Sometimes...

Its a struggle!  The card I am sharing today was quite a struggle for me. I had the stamping (Hampton Arts) done and colored.  I picked the paper, lace and black felt swirly lace.  Then I had the hardest time putting it together.  I tried vertical, then horizontal, this and that, that and this......and finally went with this:

So Happy

I'm so happy that I have a card I can enter into the challenges on the Simon Says Stamp Monday and Wednesday blogs and the Word Art Wednesday blog.
I made another card featuring Inkadinkado's stamps and a sentiment by Digi Shack.  Because of this sentiment its a perfect card to send to Operation Write Home.
I colored the image using Ranger Distress inks and a water brush.  Really gives the image dimension.  I popped up the image on foam dots as well as the flowers.  I added Stickles to the edge of the sentiment to match the glitter die cuts.

This card will be entered in the following challenges:

Snow Day Card

We did not have snow, we had lots of sleet and freezing rain.  So most places are closed today.  I have extra time to create...Yah!!
I pulled out a old Stampin Up set from 2003 that I got at a thrift store of all places.  The rubber looked a bit old, but stamped just fine.
My son & his wife are trying for child number three, so hopefully I'll need this card soon.
I think the sentiment is real cute and fits the challenge on Word Art Wednesday.

Here are the challenges I planning on entering:
Hope you enjoyed your visit!

Geisha Girl

The card I'm presenting today has a Geisha girl by Inkadinkado. Its more of a bust of a girl.  Well, see
for yourself.
I created a watercolor background using Ranger Distress inks and water (duh!).  Unfortunately my sentiment is not perfectly straight....but you didn't see that, right?!

I'm really happy to be able to enter in the Simon Says Monday challenge and the Word Art Wednesday challenge.  I like these sites very much. Okay, now for the challenges.

As always, thanks for coming by.

Happy Birthday

Hello!
It must be somebody's birthday out there, and it would be truly amazing if that person was reading this!  The odds of that are probably better than winning the lottery.
Anywho, I've made a birthday card featuring Stampendous' Fluffles the Cat.  Poor Fluffles is being carried away by the balloons!
I colored the images with Ranger Distress inks and a water brush.  The icing on the cake is done with a pearl pen.
Even though I only have one word on the front of the card, I plan to enter it into the Word Art Wednesday challenge.  On the inside is the rest of the expression, "Birthday" with some more designer paper to make it pretty.
The following challenges will be seeing my card:

A Love card

Hi All.
Today I have a simple card which is, more often than not, my style.  I used an old Stampin Up stamp and old paper.  Everything I have is old since I haven't crafted for a couple of years.  Poor Hobby Lobby was probably hurt financially!!
I stamped the sentiment on water color paper, embossed with white powder and rubbed Distress Inks on it to make the word pop.  Then I used a Spellbinders die cut.  I added some glitter hearts and a wonky bow and called it done!
I'll be entering it in the following challenges:
Thanks for coming by and having a peek!

Is it Love?!

I think my card is about love and I hope you will agree.  I designed this card following a sketch on Die Cuttin Divas' blog and I plan to send it to Operation Write Home for our troops.
The image is by Inkadinkado. The sentiment is "I miss you" by Clearly Wordsworth.  You have to love someone in order to miss them, right?!  That being said, I 'm entering the card in the following challenges:
Join In the ACN MONTHLY CHALLENGE | A Creative Need - my 'need' is to make cards for our troops overseas!

With a Friend's Help

Hi!
A friend of mine, Fran, has a Cricut and one day we cut out some stencils using vinyl.  I have used one of them colored with Distress inks for my card today.
At first I was a bit stumped as to what to do with the swirl thingee, but I played around a bit and came up with this final card.  I'm entering it in the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew: 80 Glitter - note the butterfly

Timidly coming back!

Hi!

After a long rest, I'm coming back to card making and blogging.  I have completely forgotten how to use Blogger, so there may be an embarrassing learning curve!

I've created a card using Inkadinka Doos stamps colored with Ranger Distress inks. I am entering it in the following challenges, if I can remember how to do that...

Art Impressions Rubber Stamps: Challenge 152 - "Have a Heart"
4 CRAFTY CHICKS: 4CC Challenge #231 Anything Goes/Crazy Egg
Simply Create Too: CHALLENGE #78 - "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY [or USE HEARTS]"
Papertake Weekly Challenge: Take Your Pick Week  (warm colors)

I think that will be all for now,
