Tissue Box A2 Card Holder

Have you seen this idea? This is a great use of a tissue box.
I have a friend who is a bit of a ladybug fan right now (Hi Fran!!)
So, I used Designed2Delight's digital image 'Love Bug's Heart Strings'.  She's a little girl dressed up in a ladybug costume.

I thought you might like to know how to go about making one of these tissue box containers.

Use a Kleenex brand box to fit the measurements exactly.  I used a Puffs tissue box and needed to trim just a tad on some pieces.

So, check your piece against the box before gluing anything down.
What you will need:
Solid cardstock - 4 inside walls 5" by 4.25"
                         - 2 bottom pieces (inside and out) 4.25" by 4.25"
                         - 1 outside piece 5" by 11", scored at 1", 5.5" and 10" and
                         - another outside piece 5" by 9", scored at 4.5" ( may need to trim ends to fit)
Pattern Paper - 5 outside pieces (4 walls and a bottom) all 4" by 4"
                      - 4 fold over flaps 4.25" by 4", scored at 2" and folded in half.

First thing to do is carefully open the tissue box and cut off the top sections until you have this remaining--->.
I chose to cover my box with black cardstock.  I did not want the exposed edges to show so I painted all the edges black on the inside and out.  You could use a matching marker instead of paint.

Basically you cover the inside and out with the solid color cardstock. There is a video here on how to make the box that is excellent.

I failed to take anymore in process pictures, (sorry!!!) so I hope you can cover a box on your own. At this point adhere your outside pattern paper pieces next.  Then adhere the fold over flaps. Its really pretty darn easy!

I think once you make one and see how easy it is to do and how sturdy this box is, you'll want to make lots more!
