Hambo Stamps Heart Basket

The basket full of hearts was the freebie given to all participants in last week's progressive challenge at Hambo Hoedown. And we got the sentiment to go with it!  All for free!  Thank you Hambo Stamps!!

I did a little paper piecing on the basket with a decorative paper that looked like a basket weave.  Original, huh?!.

I colored the hearts with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  For the background I decided to stamp various hearts by Autumn Leaves and Inkadinkadoo in several colors of Ranger Distress inks.

The challenge this week was to use the free image, 'Heart Basket' and the sentiment to make a card for someone special (like Mom).  You were to include flowers and lace.  Check, check and check.

I'm going to enter this card in the following challenges;
Pollycraft - anything goes
Tuesday Throwdown - brads or eyelets
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Hambo Hoedown - use 'Heart Basket', lace, flowers, & sentiment
2 Sisters - for a Mom
Sentimental Sundays - for a special woman
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - no designer paper
I Did it Creations - Mother's Day item
Cute Card Thursday - any sketch (Mojo Monday wk 89, 6/1/09 on pdf file)
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Double Dutch

Thanks for spending a little time here!

Well it would be hard to guess that you did not start out with designer paper, you created some on your own and it looks marvelous! I like the paper piecing on your little basket, cute! Great job all around. Thanks for coming alongside us this week at Stampin' Sisters in Christ!
