You may be thinking, isn't that the Card Ideas blog that has this challenge???
It WAS.
Card Ideas and Delightful Inspirations have been combined into ONE BLOG!
Yea!
Don't worry, all your links will get you to the right place, which is Designed2Delight.
Back to the challenge...I made a card using 'Tweet Friend' and 'Poinsettia':
It seemed odd to be making a holiday card in May. Obviously I am not one to do Christmas cards early! This bird, 'Tweet Friend' is one of my favorite D2D birds. She has flourishes and she knows she's pretty. That's okay for a bird! I printed onto water color paper and used Ranger Distress inks to color. Since she is such an angel, I gave her a halo with gold Stickles. She got Stickled all over!
The 'Poinsettia' I printed onto red card stock and cut out. (Is that cheating?) I added them to the tree to make it more Christmas-y. So this bird is perched in the rare Poinsettia Tree! I used red Stickles on the poinsettia as well as dots of gold and green Stickles for the centers.
The sentiment is part of the 'Tweet Friend' set, although I added the little musical notes by hand.
The background paper is from the DCWV Christmas stack. I don't know why I buy those big stacks. It takes me several YEARS to use it all up.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Pollycraft - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - paper piecing or piercing
Cute Card Thursday - any sketch (CPS#18 flipped)
Really Reasonable Ribbon - Double Dutch
The Stamping Boutique - winged things
Sugar Creek Hollow - embossing
Phindy's Place - glitter, glamor, glitz
Stamp Something - winged things
PaperPlay - use an object not intended for card crafting (button?)
Have a nice crafty day!
