First Post

Wow. My first personal blog post.
Okay, so it's not a big "whoop" for all of you 'out there'.
It just seems like this post is important since its the first. For some reason it is really scary!  Sure hope I get over that!

Here a card I made this week. I've used a Designed 2 Delight image and a Shirley's 2 Girls sentiment.  I've entered this card into the challenge at Delightful Inspiration which I try to do every week.  You get a free image every time you enter their challenge!  I love that.
I made the effort to paper-piece the image for once!  I love the look of paper-piecing, but I just don't seem to plan ahead when I am printing my images and I rarely use the technique. I cut a mask out of a second copy of the image and the sentiment and applied removable glue to the back.  After positioning the masks, I stamped Provo Craft's snowflake acrylic stamps with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder in a random fashion.  Then Ranger Distress inks were sponged on the background. The bow is on top of a snowflake I crocheted.  Hope I can find that crochet pattern again so I can make another snowflake.  I think it really punched up the card.
I guess that is quite enough about the card AND for my first post!
