Do You Stack Up Challenge #5

The challenge starting today over at Do You Stack Up is RED.  Just in time for some red hot Valentine's Day cards & projects.  The Design Team had a lot of fun with this RED theme!

We have three sponsors for this challenge.

I'm excited to show you my project, because I used a technique I had not used before.  And its fun to do and gives terrific results. I chose one of Sassy Studio's gorgeous girls to use.

On the background I used a designer paper(DP), glitter and double sided tape sheets.  I die cut circles out of the tape sheets (I used Thermo Web- Peel N Stick sheets) with my Cuttlebug.  I then exposed one sticky side of the circle and placed it on my DP.  Then I exposed the top sticky side and poured red glitter (Art Institute Glitter) on it and rubbed it in with my finger.  Fun!  It becomes completely smooth to the touch and that glitter is there to stay!!  You can see the sparkle better in the snippet picture up top.
When I was toying with the image to print it, and looking for a good sentiment I had the idea to place the sentiment on top of the image.  I found the perfect sentiment by Digis with Attitude. I believe it was a freebie.
I water-colored the girl with Ranger Distress inks, which was a wee bit difficult since the image was small. I should have made it larger when I printed.  Its not perfect, but I can live with it!
