The King has an announcement!!

This is a very hands-on kind of king.  He actually blows the horn himself when he has an announcement. If you want it done right......

This King is by Hambo Stamps and was the next progressive freebie on Hambo Hoedown.  I got really inspired by this King because I thought I might be able to mask him and add a background.
It wasn't terribly difficult to cut the mask out.  This is just an A2 size card though, so I could have sized the image a bit bigger to make it easier on myself.  Why would I do that?!!  I love the struggle creative process!

There is a ton of ink on this card.  The colors are a bit deeper IRL. I used Ranger Distress inks to water-color the image.  Then I masked the image and sponged more Distress inks on the background.  And used them for stamping in some foliage.  I really had a blast making this.  Thanks Hambo!!

I'm entering this beauty (yes, I'm proud of it!) into the following challenges:

Hambo Hoedown – use King and a special announcement
AudSentiments – anything goes
Pile it On – use rubber stamp (bird, trees)
Paper Playtime - weather

Thanks for dropping by!

WOW!!!! What a great way to use that image..... gives me some ideas when I make another card. I always think that masking is alot of work... I need to do more of it.
