So the year ends

I have gotten over the need to bring in the New Year with drinks and partying.  And I've never had the need to publicly profess my resolutions, so if that's what you want to see, you might as well move on.  Boring, ain't I?

Since Priscillastyles offered this free image for attending an online party, I attended!  To attend I had to make a card with it and this is what I came up with. 
From what I vaguely remember of celebrating New Years, there should be noise-makers to really do it up right.  I figured I could make my own little noise-makers for my card.  Just to be different.  Maybe I was fooling myself thinking I could make these look decent.  They are different, ya gotta give them that! 
I wish I had made the sentiment bigger.  *sigh* I could barely color in the letters.
On the other hand, I was very happy to remember that I had a champagne bottle button!  It was all green though.  Dull green.  I used Folk Art Metallic Gold paint to paint a gold label on it.  Worked like a charm!  I do think the bottle button was a major improvement to the card.
I forgot to send it out to someone.  Oh well, maybe next year.  Have a happy and safe New Years.
