Love Ya

I am down to the wire today with my card for Designed 2 Delight.  I've been out of town for 5 days and now I'm playing catch up.  I did take some images I had printed out with me to color.  Kept me busy and happy in the hotel.  Well that and my laptop!!
Faith, the artist, had given everyone the cupcake to use this week for her challenge.  I decided to add another one of her images just to be different.
I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and OMS.  I couldn't resist adding some silver sprinkles to the cupcake!  And I had to dress up Teddy too with a bow.  What fun!!
The background is made using a technique called Cling 'N Scrunch.  I learned that from the Technique Junkie Newsletter. They have published hundreds of techniques for stampers.  I did mine a bit differently (see a trend here?) by adding some mica powder to my spray color.  You can see a bit of the glimmer in the snippet picture up top.  You'll have to just take my word on this that the whole background is shiny and glimmers.
Oh, please notice my hand-stitched edge to the card!  Sheesh, I worked hard on that.  Kinda.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Delightful Inspiration - use cupcake image
Doodle Pantry - love
Whoopsi Daisy - pretty in pink
Pile it On - anything
Paper Sundaes - last yr's challenge (#29 stitching)
Paper Playtime - the word love
Double Delight - Combine Love Ya Cupcake with another D2D image
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Sat. - anything
Mark's Finest Papers - hearts

I'm signing off now, thanks for visiting and commenting (hint, hint)

This card is just fabulous! Love the handstiching. I didn`t notice that at once. I thought it was an embossed edge until i read the post. Then i had to zoom in on the card. I see you did an excelent job on it. Love your colouring of the image too. And that background is gorgeous! Have a nice weekend and thanks for joining us at WhoopsiDaisy this week. Hugs...Mona
